Donate

As well as, or instead of buying community shares, you may decide to help us Buy The Bell Inn by taking advantage of Gift Aid (if you are eligible) and making a tax efficient donation to the Society which allows it to claim an extra 25% back on the amount you have donated at no extra cost to you. You will also be able to claim the difference between the basic rate of tax and your rate of tax paid in your tax return if you are a higher rate tax payer.

All donations, like the share offer, will be ring-fenced to buy the Bell Inn, provide working and development capital for the pub plus contribute towards a reserve to maintain the building in the future.

You can do this either by completing the Donation and Gift Aid declaration form below and making payment directly into our bank account or make a donation via our Crowdfunder account by clicking the button below. If you are making a substantial donation please pay into our bank account so that we are not charged payment processing fees. If you are making a smaller donation, consider using our Crowdfunder site as the more people that donate, the more it will encourage other people to do so. We are grateful whichever way you choose to support us.

If paying by bank transfer please use your full name as reference and make payments to:

Middleton cum Fordley Community Benefit Society

Sort Code: 08 92 99

We have recognition as a charity for tax purposes from HMRC. We are a charitable Community Benefit Society and therefore regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and not the Charity Commission. You can see our registration on the mutuals area of the FCA website.

Please note making a donation does not entitle you to become a Member of the Society - to do this you must also purchase at least one share.

Donation and Gift Aid Form

Boost your donation by 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 you donate.

Gift Aid is reclaimed by the Society from the tax you pay for the current tax year. Your address is needed to identify you as a current taxpayer.

Please untick the first box below if you do not wish to add Gift Aid.

I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations, it is my responsiblity to pay the difference.

Please notify us if you want to cancel this declaration, change your name or home address or no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains tax.

If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.
